A little about Zorana

The hands and heart behind Shumska

I’m Zorana. I found clay in 2024, at a moment when I was ready to listen more closely to the urge to make. By day, I teach English; beyond that, I live on a small farm, close to the forest, where life moves with the seasons and the land sets the pace.

Working with clay feels like a return to something familiar. I’m drawn to natural forms, organic surfaces, and the beauty of things that aren’t perfect. Making has always lived somewhere inside me, and clay gave it a place to settle. My pieces are shaped slowly, influenced by the quiet of nature, and made to be used, held, and lived with.
